What GTbets was good at
GTbets built its following on one distinctive offer: you nominated favorite teams and got half a point or a full point of line movement on their games. For a recreational bettor with two or three teams they always backed, that was worth more than a bigger sign-up bonus.
Beyond that it was a conventional US-facing book — sportsbook, casino and horse racing under one balance, crypto in and out, no state-by-state licence gate. The cashier was the part players praised most: deposits credited immediately, and crypto payouts that did not need a phone call.
Why we no longer recommend waiting for it
A sportsbook that is not taking registrations cannot be recommended to anyone new, regardless of how it performed before. There is no published reopening date, and no way to be notified of one.
If you have an existing balance, deal with the operator directly. This portal is independent of GTbets: we cannot look up an account, chase a withdrawal or reset a password, and anyone who says they can on GTbets' behalf is worth being suspicious of.

GTbets operated for years as a US-facing sportsbook with a normal payout record. The relevant fact today is simpler: it is not opening new accounts, so there is nothing for a new player to join.
Is GTbets shutting down completely?+
What is confirmed is that new registrations are closed. Anything beyond that — a full shutdown, a relaunch, a sale — would have to come from the operator, and we will not speculate on it here.
What happened to the favorite-team point boost?+
