The NHL club "Florida Panthers" announced a contract extension with head coach Paul Maurice.
The new agreement is for several years, the specific term is not specified. Under Maurice's leadership, Florida won the Stanley Cup in the 2023/24 season.
"Paul has led our club to unprecedented success during his relatively short tenure in Florida. Maurice, 57, has led "Florida" since 2022. The Canadian has been the head coach of various clubs in 1,855 NHL regular season games, second only to Scotty Bowman (2,141). He ranks 4th in NHL history in wins (873).
