Pittsburgh forward Evgeni Malkin summarized the results of the match against Detroit (6:3) in the regular NHL championship.

“Today was a great game, better than yesterday. We played our own hockey, played all three periods from a position of strength. The most important thing for me is my partners. I've played with a lot of guys, most of them are probably retired by now, but I'm still playing. I always have fun with anybody, we always have a great team”.

Malkin also commented on reaching the 800 goal assists mark in the NHL.

“For me this is a very important milestone in my career, but I probably need more,” Malkin added.

The 38-year-old hockey player became the first Russian player in NHL history to make 800 goal assists.
